Victim Services of Hastings, Prince Edward, and Lennox & Addington's programs and services are designed to provide immediate crisis intervention to persons victimized by crime or tragic circumstances in all communities inside our catchment area.

Victim Services' Workers are available to provide safety planning and case management for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

On-Scene Support

Our volunteers and staff are trained to respond to the needs of individuals at the scene of a crime or tragedy and provide information that is helpful in each circumstance. Emotional Support is administered by assisting victims in gathering natural support systems, identifying options/choices, and validating feelings while actively listening to concerns.

Volunteers may also offer practical assistance through the provision of transportation, accompaniment, assistance with childcare, safety planning, and referral.

Volunteers complete a combination of web-based training and in-class instruction, receiving a Certificate of Completion at the conclusion of their training.

Victim Quick Response Program (VQRP)

The VQRP provides timely financial assistance to victims of violent crime. It is designed to support victims in the immediate aftermath of a violent crime, to lessen the impact of the event, and to increase a victim's safety. It is intended to help contribute to the costs of counselling, emergency home repair, funeral and emergency expenses.

This support is available to victims of homicide, attempted murder, serious physical assault, domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking and hate crimes.

Mobile Tracking Systems (MTS)

MTS is funded through The Ontario Trillium Foundation, Victim Services, the Quinte & District Victim's Fund, the Rotary Club of Belleville, Rotary Club of Quinte Sunrise and local community sponsors. MTS provides high risk victims of domestic violence with a GPS panic button, to be used in the event they cannot access 911.

After pressing the panic button a victim's location is pin-pointed using GPS and police are dispatched to the scene. This program is administered in partnership with EYEZ-ON.

Bail Notification

The Bail Notification Program works in conjunction with the Ontario Provincial Court to ensure that victims in Quinte West are immediately notified of any change to the custodial status of their offenders at the bail stage of court process. In doing so, we are able to assist victims in addressing their needs around personal safety.
